Curiously, a person here got this same error quite recently, and the
reason in their case was that they had set
ZLIBPATH = /usr/cs3/vtan/lout/lout.3.11/zlib-1.1.1/
or something like this, when they should have used
ZLIBPATH = -I/usr/cs3/vtan/lout/lout.3.11/zlib-1.1.1/
I don't suppose you've done the same thing, have you?
