ylabel to the left of downwards arrow?

In some cases I would like to position the
ylabel this way:


    |
    |
    |
  y |
    |
    |
    |
    V


But I always seem to get

    |
    |
    |
    | y
    |
    |
    |
    V


Is there an elegant way to achieve my goal?

I guess the answer is
@Link arrow { back } from { TO } to { FROM } ylabel { y }
but this feels like a _hack_.
