Dear Jeff,
I remember that Emacs used to use a similar dumping trick to
pre-initialize all its Lisp contents prior to starting up as
a text-editor. Their Lisp structures have pointers too.
I don't quite recall whether they suffered from the pointer "swizzling"
or maybe they had a solution to that. Just a thought...
