Hello all,
I've been trying to get the CM fonts in lout with no success.
I'm using lout-3.31 (compiled from sources). This is what I've done so
far:
- downloaded cmps-unix.tar.gz
- copied all the afm files to /usr/local/lout.lib/font (my lout font
directory)
- added the following to /usr/local/lout.lib/data/fontdef.ld:
{ @FontDef
@Tag { CMR-Base }
@Family { CMR }
@Face { Base }
@Name { CMR10 }
@Metrics { cmr10.afm }
@Mapping { LtLatin1.LCM }
}
- created a small lout file to test it:
@SysInclude {report}
@Report
@Title
{
clines @Break {
18p @Font {Lorem ipsum}
{CMR Base 12p} @Font {dolor sit amet}
{CMR Base 12p} @Font @Date
}
}
@CoverSheet {No}
@InitialFont {CMR Base 10p}
//
@Section
@Title {Primera}
@Begin
@PP
{CMR Base} @Font {Prueba de Computer Modern}
@End @Section
- $ lout -o test.ps -c test test.lout
lout file "/usr/local/lout.lib/data/fontdefs.ld" (from "report" line 471,
from "test.lout" line 1):
1057,16: ignoring unencoded ligature character ff in font file
/usr/local/lout.lib/font/cmr10.afm (line 128)
1057,16: fatal error: kerning pair k a appears twice in font file
/usr/local/lout.lib/font/cmr10.afm (line 288)
- after a few iterations removing the repeated pairs, I finally got the
ps, but with a really ugly font... :-S
What's the "good" way to add CM fonts to lout?
thanks!
