Hi Thorsten,

Do you mean the source content you're trying to build?  If so, then no, 
so long as the tarball/zip file includes a leading directory of some 
sort.  By convention though (and a good idea), the source tarball/zip 
would normally
be named package-version.ext  and unpack into a directory: package-version
