[lwip-devel] HEADS UP: main CVS tree has been merged from DEVEL

Hello all lwIP users and developers,

an update on the status of the lwIP software on CVS:

all the development work from the DEVEL branch has been merged into the
main tree (HEAD) today.

Also, I have tagged this main tree with STABLE-0_6_5, which is a candidate
for an archived release to appear on Savannah somewhere in the next few
weeks
if no problem reports come in.

Note that the STABLE tag has been forwarded from the 0.6.3 release to the
0.6.4. However, 0.6.5 fixes an important TCP bug which might make the
move the 0.6.5 compelling, even if it hasn't been tested very much.

If you want to test or break stuff, now is the time!
Let us know about problems (via the Bug interface on Savannah, or here).

There are some known problems regarding alignment issues on certain
platforms;
these have always existed in lwIP and are planned to be solved if a neat
solution is
agreed on. See the discussion in lwip-devel.
