That´s true. But I am talking about inbound *IP* traffic accepted by
the local host (running lwIP). In this case, should inbound packets
result in their source address being add to the ARP cache?
I could not find a hard specification on that, I probably should look
in the IP over Ethernet related RFC´s.
Currently, lwIP does *add* inbound traffic sources to the ARP cache,
instead of merely updating existing entries.
