Follow-up Comment #7, task #10088 (project lwip):

Netconn- and socket-API do it that way (directly calling tcp_recved when
passing data to the application). I couldn't speak for all of the raw API
applications out there, but if they didn't call tcp_recved before calling
tcp_closed, there's obviously someting wrong, I think.
