Seeing this bug and some other bugs that might be relevant to our 
product, I'm thinking about making the effort to create a bugfix-branch 
for 1.4.1 after all... Can we target this for 1.4.1? I'll dig into the 
other 1.4.1-targeted bugs the next days or weeks.
