Details:

- A persistant tap can be assigned to a user with `tunctl -u <user>`. A
regular user can then run / debug the simulation. The gw and netmask must be
setup prior to running. Warnings are added if those differ from the values
used in lwip (ipv4 only).
- Added check if read succeeded.
