Well, abandoned is really not the correct word :-) At least I am still 
active but I haven't had too much time last year, unfortunately.
As you may see, I've been trying to catch up recently. Patches are still 
very welcome of course!!

Exactly. I think the SNMP part is the most "non-lightweight" in lwIP and 
I'd *love* to see it smaller :-)

BTW: if you're looking for work, we could need a kind of compiler to 
create C stub code out of MIBs... :-)
