Follow-up Comment #1:

Wille the idee of returning ERR_RTE to the caller seems like a good one,
returning all errors from ipX_output could lead to other problems. TCP
currently does not do that on purpose, so this patch would change this
behaviour. The results of this change would have to be checked first.
