just in case someone read my commit comment for this one

and thought "Is he nuts? Doesn't he see the real problem?" - sorry, I was sleeping.
Of course the sizeof() returned the size of the POINTER to the string (which is on my 64bit system 8) instead of the string itself.

Again, sorry for that :-)
