Follow-up Comment #18, bug #50837 (project lwip):

less than 7 minutes. I'm not sure this is enough to let a TCP connection time
out. And it's certainly not "forever"! 

What mechanism is the connection timing out with then if it's not explicitly
in the handling for persist_backoff/persist_cnt?
