Hi lady Julia,

I had similar problems with avr32. It was driver level problem. I posted
solution into forum.
I worker with sam4 and noticed that sam4 have similar driver level problems
like avr32 example  i2c driver.  Possible sam7 bmac driver have similar
problems like avr32.(descriptors corruptions) 
This network layer crush  depends broadcast  multicast messages at site. 
So you can try find soft tools which can generate broadcast messages in
network.  Simplest tool   cable loopback into switch :).
