961227 I reported as follows, updated after some more poking around:

The only other report of compiling for SGI (Archive 961021: Vilkata TDK)
ends differently:

>       -DNO_CUSERID -DUNIX -DSGI -Dvfork=fork

I'm still lost at sea.  Perhaps Mr Vilkata left out a long list of compiles,
incl  LYClean.c , or perhaps there is some difference in the Makefiles;
 LYClean.c  is there in  src .

I've been learning a lot from  man  entries on  cc  &  make ,
& there seem to be  >= 3  Makefiles in various directories.
 Installation  is rather thin: "Check the top-level  Makefile
for any site-specific dfs you require/desire".
       
Can anyone help?
