I am a little concerned these days that my messages to lynx-dev take about
3 hours to get back to me.  Maybe it shouldn't bug me so much...

Got it, thanks Scott for the space.  

I was able to compile the Win32 version without chartrans except for one
thing.  The definition of HTPlain_write on line 101 of HTPlain.c tripped
me up.  I had to wrap it in an #ifndef _WINDOWS and then all was perfect. 
DJGPP passed right over it *shrug*  Great job Klaus!

Now lets see if I can figure out chartrans along with all my other
bugfix projects.  So many things to do, so little play time *sigh*
