Roger,

I would suggest asking Fote what he thinks of your 2.7.1 suggestion. He is
currently publishing the bugfixes, and if he doesn't mind publising them
against 2.7.1 instead, then I see no real problem. If, however, he prefers
not to, I see 2.7.1 as pretty useless as it would rather quickly grow
outdated and useless.
