lynx-dev how to save cookies

lynx-dev how to save cookies |

I have dev24 built with persistent cookies enabled.
I went to a site that set 2 cookes, looked at the cookie jar
page, then exited. It saved the cookies fine.
I then restarted lynx at the same site and the saved cookies loaded fine.
However, I then went to another site that offered me cookies
then exited lynx and looked at the cookies file.
The new cookies weren't there.
Do I have to hit ^K (look at the cookie jar page) in order to
save cookies?
Excuse me if I'm missing something simple.
