As one would expect on a unix box
txt2html <filename> | lynx
normally txt2html dumps the result to stdout

The fact that it didn't

What I expected was for the piped in page to be displayed on my screen the
same way
'cat <filename> | more'
will show up on my screen.

Indeed, it can and I have long done so on my box; but that is not the
issue here.. The comment was digressionary and only served to obfuscate
things further.

Yes there were two separate issues and as I clearly stated the first one
initiated the second. The (a) first one was the issue of piping the
results of a file2html conversion to lynx, the results of which was (b)
the thought that it will be a nice idea to have all my html pages stored
in virtual memory (or a ram drive) so I could access them from there.
I doubt if it is put any clearer than the first time and regarding that, I
can be of no further help.

He passed a stupid comment in criticism .. don't bother defending it

And he didn't think to ask the source of the email for the address which
was suggested he copy the response to? .. A poor defence for his comments
don't you think?
