I'm not aware of any page that uses these in anger and I've failed to get
longdesc to work in IE4 or NS4 in any detectable way. In a commercial
environment, such attributes would never get maintained, as they might
get put in by someone who really understood HTML, but the average HTML
cut and paste coder would not be aware they existed.
On the other hand, if they are easy to do, they should be done. They
need to be done in a way that doesn't interfere with an overlapping <A>.
