it's sure good to be one of the spoil-sports for a change (smile) ...

i don't want this change, let alone need it:
when using Lynx to read newspapers, not infrequently i encounter
a form field saying eg `enter your name here to win our blah-blah':
it's at the top of the screen, so the hilite is there,
& all i want to do is exit the document
& go back to the index of news stories: Left-Arrow does just that.

so AT A MINIMUM, make your device changeable in  lynx.cfg ,
preferably with the existing behaviour as default.

better, make your change a simple warning (still subject to  lynx.cfg ),
ie `Do you really want to return to the previous document? Y/N'
that should be very easy to program & should be more than adequate.

i have to comment more generally
that we seem to be suffering from fidgetty programmers:
i haven't seen any need to update my version since 2-8-2dev.19 ,
tho' i keenly await KW's table processing.
