probably `https' (secure) URLs: if so, you need to compile Lynx with SSL.
look under on-line `h'elp or start from  lynx.browser.org/ .
ask again here if you still have problems, telling us in much more detail
what OS you use, what version of Lynx (enter `='),
an URL which gives you this problem so someone can look there etc etc.
