lynx-dev VMS install error (LYNX 2.8.3)

Hi all,

we are running OpenVMS 7.2-1 / TCPIP 5.0A on a Compaq alpha workstation
cluster.

trying to install LYNX 2.8.3 with the VMS install script BUILD.COM
failed with an error occurring, because the logical

                        UCX$C_IOCTL (nor is TCPIP$C_IOCTL)

is not defined (happens during compilation of

            [lynx.www.library.implementation]httcp.c)

Therefore the library [lynx.www.library.implementation]WWWlib_UCX.OLB is
not built correctly. I guess that's the reason that invoking lynx.exe
returns the following error:

MELMAC> r lynx
%SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=000000000000

 LYNX LYMAIN main 27900 0000000000000A54 0000000000117EF4
 LYNX LYMAIN __main 0 0000000000000070 0000000000117510

Has anyone using VMS experienced the same error? Thanks for hints.

     Greetings,
                 Horst
