I'm trying to figure out this error:
$ lynx nntp://tank.wizards.com/
Connecting to NewsHost ...
Looking up tank.wizards.com
Making NNTP connection to tank.wizards.com
500 Command not recognized
Connecting to NewsHost ...
Looking up tank.wizards.com
Making NNTP connection to tank.wizards.com
Alert!: 501 Command syntax error
lynx: Can't access startfile nntp://tank.wizards.com/
When I do a trace, I see:
NNTP command to be sent: XGTITLE *
NNTP Response: 500 Command not recognized
500 Command not recognized
When I check the server, I see this:
$ telnet tank.wizards.com nntp
Trying 209.67.104.25...
Connected to tank.wizards.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
200 Message Board Server ready - posting allowed
HELP

So what would be an alternative to WGTITLE?
