The package currently doesn't pull in GNU make.
Another patch appears to be necessary for gettext handling.
The commit message was:
Restore code to preprocess ".po" files to make this build with older
"gettext" versions (e.g. under NetBSD-i386 3.1_STABLE).
The original commit message for that chunk was:
date: 2004/03/11 22:10:48; author: ben; state: Exp;
GNU gettext-lib version < 0.11.x expects escaped characters in a way
incompatible with newer versions of gettext-lib. Detect gettext-lib
version and work around bug when necessary.
I'm not sure how you want to handle this one... anyway, I'll
attach the patch for your consideration.
