UK JISC Mirror communication for Host sites – March 20th 2007.

 

Dear Host site

 

You are receiving this important communication as a host site of the UK JISC Mirror service (www.mirror.ac.uk).

 

On March 1 2007 the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), who fund the JISC Mirror service announced that they were to cease funding for the service when the current contract expires on July 31^st 2007.

In light of this communication we are therefore providing you with notice that as of July 31^st 2007 the JISC Mirror UK service will be decommissioned and we will no longer be mirroring your content.

 

This has obviously been a tough decision for the JISC to take and although disappointed Eduserv understand the reasoning behind this.

 

We would like to communicate our thanks for the relationship we have established with you as a host site over the last few years and wish you every success in the future.

 

The closing of the site will occur on 1 August 2007, please pass any enquiries/questions you may have to either myself address@hidden or the Eduserv service desk on address@hidden
