More likely, there is a problem in the build-configuration which results
in the compile using ncurses5 headers and ncurses6 libraries (or the
reverse). Lynx works fine with ncurses6 when it is compiled consistently.
For example, I built it on "this" machine:
Lynx Version 2.8.9dev.7 (06 May 2015)
libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, GNUTLS 2.8.6, ncurses 6.0.20150822(wide)
Built on linux-gnu May 9 2015 11:07:40
