I've readed a log of material, and I think I understand the problem
better. We have a problem which only appears with gettext compiled with
--disable-shared plus gnulib. What do you think about maybe make a patch
which changes gettext source, in order to fix this?

I've also contact gnulib and gettext folks, to see if there are some
plain on release a new gettext with this issue fixed, or another
solution for the problem.
