Yes, VTK has not been configured to use FFMPEG.
I've been working on improving the VTK package in mingw-cross-env and
added the FFMPEG option. However, the vtkFFMPEGWriter.cpp uses an
outdated FFMPEG API. I patched it to compile anyway, but I did not test
my changes. Could you test it? You can check out my mingw-cross-env
repository with
hg pull https://bitbucket.org/muellni/mingw-cross-env-cmake
hg update
