i have no idea what mldonkey just did, but it took me more than 30 minutes
to get a login on my box. it sounded as if some ;) program had used all
available ram and was now filling the complete swap-space, so the kernel
had to work pretty hard to get some bytes free for other apps. all i have
in my mldonkey logfile is plenty of this:
BUFFER OVERFLOW 999996+25> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 1000000+5> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 1000000+25> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 999996+5> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 999996+25> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 1000000+5> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 1000000+27> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 999996+5> 1000000
BUFFER OVERFLOW
BUFFER OVERFLOW 999996+27> 1000000
and so on. might not be usefull, but i don't have further information about
this crash.
btw: what does mldoneky do with all this ram he allocates? he uses up to
95% of my system ram and thats only because the other 5% are allready used
by other apps.
