Hi.
I am interested in using mldonkey under gnome2.
And especially I want to add an URL-handler for ed2k
links under gnome2!!!
Under gnome1 everything was easy with the instructions
at:
http://ircnet.de/home/cru/ed2k_urlslave/mlurlslave.html
# Copy (as root) mlurlslave to a place in $PATH, I
suggest /usr/local/bin/
# Start mlurlslave once to create the default
configuration file for your user
# Edit the configuration file to fit your needs
(~/.mlurlslaverc)
# Start gnomecc and open the URL handler capplet
# Fill 'ed2k' into the protocol field and 'mlurlslave
"%s"' to the handler field
# Hit 'set' to add the new protocol handler to the list
# Take any GNOME program (e.g. Galeon) and click some
ed2k:// URLs ;)
BUT NOW under gnome2 it is different!
I wrote to the author of the mlurlslave, but he couldnt
help. I also wrote to some gnome guys but they told me:
> If you open gconf-editor and browse to
> /apps/desktop/gnome/url-handlers
> you will see folders representing the various urls
> and inside those

You can read the whole thread under:

And as I am still puzzled with all this new gnome2
stuff I thought of YOU! :-)
So I hope that you can help me in getting
such a schema file?!
Greetings,
