Had the same problem on Linux-586 version. It would get
all but block 1 of X, and would cycle connections after
that. Other clients would queue, offer, and be rejected.
Turns out, I had to do two things:

set random_order_download false
set new_upload_system false

As soon as I did that (and a kill and restart) the core
fired right up and all the ones stuck at missing 1 of X
all got block 1 and finished.

Summary: Neverending downloads with MLDonkey 2.0 cygwin/win32

Original Submission: I have a rather large problem with my MLDonkey 2.0
downloads: NONE of my downloads finish.

My setup: Win2000/SP3, MLDonkey 2.0 cygwin/win32, totally fresh install
(started using mldonkey yesterday)

Here's what happens when mldonkey downloads for a few hours:

After 2 days of testing, I have yet to complete a single download. I've run
recover_temp numerous times, canceled and re-added the downloads several times,
and killed and restarted mldonkey core (and deleted all config files) several
times......to no avail. I added a couple 10MB+ files to the download list,
thinking that maybe it was having trouble with small files only (smaller than a
"normal" chunk)......no difference.

I have no idea why this is happening, other than perhaps there's a win32 bug
somewhere, maybe with the ntfs filesystem, or with something cygwin introduces.
Anybody else having similar problems (under any OS), or have their win32
mldonkey2 working perfectly? I really like mldonkey, but this is kind of a
showstopper bug for me :)

P.S. Anybody else running the win32 port notice their mldonkey core freezing
several times an hour (no cpu usage, no socket usage, no admin protocol
interaction, nothing), only to recover several minutes later? Weird.

P.P.S. See http://forums.edonkey2000.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=270032 for my
forum post.
