Summary: weirdest search results; not matching the query at all

Original Submission: I have mldonkey search for AUDIO files of a certain
artist.
Among the results are VIDEO files which have just nothing to do with that
artists, as well as audio files which have nothing to do with that artist...
like, searching for songs by ayumi hamasaki, and getting an audio book of
Kafka's das schloss...

on further testing:

whenever I search using the search function of either GUI or web frontend I get
bazillions of results, more like Ihave searched for *.*.... when searching via
the console function of gui or web frontend, or via telnet connection, I get
'good' results.
