=================== BUG #4188: LATEST MODIFICATIONS ==================
http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=4188&group_id=1409

Changes by: Anonymous user Date: dim 20.07.2003 à 19:45

------------------ Additional Follow-up Comments ----------------------------
THe list of files to download is in files.ini, not file_sources.ini.

As a workaround, remove both (and the *.ini.old variants), start the core, and
enter the "recover_temp" command.

Summary: mldonkey crashes and destroys own files

Original Submission: mldonkey crashes with a coredump now and again, but i
fixed this with a cron-job (2.04 was stable). I can mail you the core, but it's
~30MByte big.

The other, bigger problem is, that mldonkey takes the file file_sources.ini
sometimes with him.
This file is the most important file! If you lose it,
mlnet doesn't know what to download. Or is there already a solutionfor this
problem?
(Maybe you could use the MD5s and search the net ...)
But back to the problems:
At the next start, it complains about:
Exception: Not_found while handling option:sources
  in ./file_sources.ini
Aborting.
There is nothing said about
1. what it could not find,
2. where in the file it wasn't found (and change these terrible positions of
the characters to line and character)
3. maybe additional information why this error occured and what you can do to
prevent it a second time.

This message tells me only, that there is an error in section sources, but this
section is ~ 1Mbyte big.
Why does this message remind me on a so called OS named Windows?

Please, wait a little bit with new features and develop a secure and stable
program.

There is no use to get mldonkey known as the best PtP-Client with the lowest
uptime ...
