=================== BUG #4725: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================
http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailbug&bug_id=4725&group_id=1409
Submitted by: sekhmet Project: mldonkey, a free e-Donkey client
Submitted on: Tue 08/12/2003 at 20:45
Category: telnet interface Severity: 5 - Major
Bug Group: None Resolution: None
Assigned to: None Status: Open
Release: None Release: 2.5-3
Platform Version: Linux i386-i686 Binaries Origin: None
Summary: Renaming ignores brackets in filename
Original Submission: When trying to rename a file via the telnet interface in
MLDonkey 2.5-3, I noticed that MLDonkey will strip out any brackets given in
the new name. I know that MLDonkey allows brackets to be in the name, as I
have a number of downloads whose ed2k links had brackets, and they're fine, but
using "rename" will basically permanently get them out of there.
I haven't tried using any other interface, as currently telnet is the only one
open to me, but I can try later with the builtin web interface once I get a
chance.
