Summary: force_client_ip - not work with two internet connections

Original Submission: I rum mldonkey on linux box (RH 8.0) with two internet
connections. On eth0 I have DSL, and eth0 is default gateway. On eth1 I have
link to ISP. Because of small uplink on DSL I want mldonkey running with IP
belong to ISP link, and use connection on eth1.

I set client_ip to IP nummber from interface eth1, then I set force_client_ip
to true, but mldonkey still send packets with bad source IP (from DSL - this IP
mldonkey show as default IP).

tcpdump -i eth0 -n show:

23:52:08.152073 217.98.15.20.47207 > 81.220.157.244.4662:

23:52:08.156647 172.183.90.234.4662 > 217.98.15.20.48642:

23:52:08.165034 172.172.32.78.4662 > 217.98.15.20.48779:

23:52:08.165128 217.98.15.20.48779 > 172.172.32.78.4662:

213.98.15.20 is my DSL connectuion IP

Please tell if U need more info, about this case.

i have tried the same thing om my box with two interfaces, set force_clien_ip =
true, and set all the *_bind_addr options to the correct ip, but still there
are a lot of connections from the eth0 ip. BT beems to bind to 0.0.0.0
regardless.

what if you set force_client_ip to true *then* set client_ip ?

client_ip is dynamic until it's declared static... ;)
