I will investigate this for patch2.
My comment was only to say that the publish_file timer which was set to
10s is an add_timer one, not an add_session_timer (which is set to
20min). My reading of the socket code made me think that it does the
following :
- the first publish happen at BOOT+10s
- other publish happen at BOOT+20m, BOOT+40m, ...
that's why I assume that the 5kb/s is not due to a recuring 10s timer
but to the search/publish activity generated by this first publish.
