Well, I've picked out one of those "closed, because old" bugs randomly. 
However, closing the bug as a duplicate whould be a lot better than to 
close it as "too old", IMO.

Then, why don't you ask for more information? Even for an experienced 
developer it's sometimes hard to describe the own situation without 
forgetting some essential details.


Please don't get me wrong. I'm happy to see anybody is actually looking 
into the bug database. I know, lots of bug reports do not contain more 
than a vanilla "it doesn't work" or worse, "why didn't you fix it 
already" ;-)

But there are people willing to invest work to track down the bugs as 
well. Give them hints how to gather more information, how to enable 
debug options and, after all, make them feel as being heard. Especially 
as mldonkey is written in a exotic language ...
