[Mldonkey-users] how to use giFTcurs with mldonkey?

On the frontpage at http://www.nongnu.org/mldonkey/ it says:

"You can also use most of the interfaces available for giFT , such as
giftcurs (nice terminal interface), poisoned (for Mac OS X, you need to
start MLdonkey before),..."

I could not find any info on how to use giFTcurs with mldonkey.

After starting the mldonkey deamon, I tried things like

"giFTcurs --server=localhost:4000"

but does not work, with an error: "The connection with the daemon was
unexpectedly closed!"

Does anyone know how to use giFTcurs with mldonkey???
