Hi Mourad,
It is always a good starting point to read the doc :)
I am glad to see you motivated.
Dodji.
ps: you should set your mail client options correctly
so that the mails are sent in plain text. Not in html.

<DIV></DIV>>Hi all,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Here a 0.0.1.7rc4 release of mlview is
available at
<DIV></DIV>>http://freesoftware.fsf.org/download/mlview/
.
<DIV></DIV>>It is an early snapshot of the current
dev branch.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Read the following release notes before
download cause
<DIV></DIV>>they are some tricks.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Dodji .
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>> MlView 0.0.1.7rc4 release notes.
<DIV></DIV>> ==================================
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>> 03-19-2002
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>This a hot snapshot of the mlview
development
<DIV></DIV>>r-0-0-1-7 branch (the current devel
branch).
<DIV></DIV>>It has been added the following
features over the the
<DIV></DIV>>0.0.1.5 release:
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>> +Element/attribute names completion
based on the
<DIV></DIV>>validity constraints expressed by the
DTD.
<DIV></DIV>> +support of xml catalogs to fetch the
DTD locally.
<DIV></DIV>> +For the time being, the mlview
distrib contains the
<DIV></DIV>>following DTDs:
<DIV></DIV>> -xhtml strict 1.0
<DIV></DIV>> -xhtml transitional 1.0
<DIV></DIV>> -docbook-xml v 4.2b1
<DIV></DIV>> So, when one of these DTDs is
referenced in an xml
<DIV></DIV>>document, mlview fetches it locally
(finds it) and
<DIV></DIV>>loads it.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>> +a lot of bug-fixes etc ...
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Note that This version of mlview needs
a patched
<DIV></DIV>>version of libxml2.4.16 .
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>That patched libxml2.4.16 is located at
the mlview
<DIV></DIV>>project download area
<DIV></DIV>>(http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/mlview).
<DIV></DIV>>It is named libxml2.4.16.patched.tar.gz
.
<DIV></DIV>>To compile it, first uninstall any
version of libxml2
<DIV></DIV>>you may have installed on your machine.
<DIV></DIV>>Then untar it, cd into the directory
<DIV></DIV>>libxml2.4.16.patched, type 'configure',
then 'make',
<DIV></DIV>>then
<DIV></DIV>>su root and type 'make install'.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>The problem fixed by this patch is
fixed in the cvs
<DIV></DIV>>tree of gnome but is not released yet.
<DIV></DIV>>If you are a purist, you can get the
gnome cvs version
<DIV></DIV>>instead of the dirty patch i proposed
in the paragraph
<DIV></DIV>>above.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>To get the gnome cvs version of
libxml2, type
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>'export
<DIV></DIV>>CVSROOT=:pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/gnome'
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>then, type
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>'cvs login'
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>(There is no password to type. Just
type return)
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>then, type
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>cvs -z3 co gnome-xml
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Once you get all the files, you have to
compile them.
<DIV></DIV>>Cd into the newly created directory
gnome-xml.
<DIV></DIV>>Type './autogen.sh'
<DIV></DIV>>Type 'make'
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Then, su root and type
<DIV></DIV>>'make install'.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Then, you can install the mlview rpm or
compile it
<DIV></DIV>>(recommanded)
<DIV></DIV>>and install it.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>If you face any pb during the
installation, (remember,
<DIV></DIV>>this is a development snapshot)
<DIV></DIV>>send me a mail.
