Log message:
        Fix for FreeBSD. This fix means that it probably only works
        on newer (> v3) versions of FreeBSD and who knows about Net
        or Open. kvm_uread wasn't working, so I used kvm_read. Also,
        the percentage reported seems to be off by 3 orders of
        magnitude (milli vs. micro?) so I hacked in a fudge factor
        of 1000 that seems to make the numbers jibe with what other
        tools say.
