I think there is nothing special in uid, gid and permission code, but it could be usefull to test it as well

Thanks,
Martin

Ooh. Haven't tested that yet...

Is there anything else that I should test above/beyond basic
functionality. (i.e. new stuff that I'm forgetting?)

Good news :) And what about device stuf - is it working on freebsd? It was blind implementation, so i'm not sure if it is OK.

OK, so the released version (4.x) of FreeBSD seems to work. I think I'll
spend the time to get it to work on OpenBSD (and perhaps NetBSD) and
punt on FreeBSD 5 for a 4.x release. (5 isn't the production release
yet, so I don't feel bad about that yet)

1) Port and test on various platforms.

The major work left now is to port the code to the various
plattforms. This is Rory's domain since he has the hardware :) I
hope you, Rory, may test and port a FreeBSD version and other
versions if you have time? Since Martin and Christan have access to
Solaris I guess that you have already tested and will test for
Solaris. Unfortunately I cannot contribute with porting since I
only have access to Linux at the moment :-( But I will certainly
 contribute with testing.

Here's the progress on FreeBSD so far.

They've put the proc stuff thru a blender for FreeBSD 5, so I'm sorting
this out still. In the meantime, I'm installing a 4.8 machine to test
the old stuff out as well... I've got the sysdep about half fixed for 5,
and am resting after reading lots of .h files. 8-)
