My point was that monit is *primarily* about processes IIGIR.

And stuck apache is rather going to be detected by simple HTTP
timeout while more complex application which burns and crashes
(or gets cracked to deface the site, which I suspect to be some
motivation after the feature) isn't going to be helped by
restarting apache or mysql.

If I've mistaken on supposed usage (short of DB connection
complaint tests on the dynamic content), just ignore this :-)
