Sorry for the extra email. I meant to mention that this stuff works on
the command line, just not in monit. For example:

address@hidden /bin/su -c 'cd /var/www/tm/current/ &&
script/ferret_server -e production start' tm
starting ferret server...
address@hidden ps -ef | grep ferret
tm        1574     1  0 11:46 ?        00:00:00 ruby
script/ferret_server -e production start

I can't figure out what to put here that monit will understand.


Please try the bash trick ... monit also strips the environment when executing script - see: http://www.mmonit.com/wiki/Monit/FAQ#execution
