Actually wouldn't you want to use the OR structure? For example with 2
services and a logical AND you would be alerted if any of the services
are down. With OR, only when both are down. Assuming a negative result
triggers the alert.

Whatever the method, developpers may decide the way AND/OR should be
interpreted.
Your vision is more right 'codingly speaking' but my proposal is more user
friendly I guess.
But it is not right that a negative result triggers the alert,
"elseif successfull then alert" can be done .
Anyway Martin will decide the usage of it. I don't care if documentation is clear
and right :>).
