These are the online lines that aren't commented out:

set daemon  120           # check services at 2-minute intervals
set init
set logfile syslog facility log_daemon
set idfile /var/.monit.id
set statefile /var/.monit.state
set mailserver localhost            # primary mailserver
set mail-format { from: address@hidden }
set alert address@hidden
set httpd port 2812 and
    use address localhost
     #use address 140.177.11.24  # only accept connection from localhost
     allow 0.0.0.0          # allow localhost to connect to the server and
     allow admin:monit      # require user 'admin' with password 'monit'


include /etc/monit.d/*
