Hello all,
I’m using monit to monit postfix services,
but constantly I’m receiving alert messages that it cannot connect to postfix
smtp port 25, as you can see the log message below. failed protocol test [SMTP] at INET[localhost:25] via TCP
-- SMTP: error receiving data -- Resource temporarily
unavailable connection succeeded to INET[localhost:25] via
TCP Is this normal? Why does it
happen? Follow the recent conf to monit
postfix. #
postfix check process postfix with pidfile
/var/spool/postfix/pid/master.pid group
mail start program =
"/etc/init.d/postfix start" stop program = "/etc/init.d/postfix
stop" if cpu > 60% for 2 cycles
then alert if cpu > 80% for 5 cycles
then restart if totalmem > 200.0 MB
for 5 cycles then restart if children > 250 then
restart if loadavg(5min) greater
than 10 for 8 cycles then stop if failed port 25 type tcp
protocol smtp with
timeout 15 seconds then alert if 3 restarts within 5
cycles then timeout depends on
postfix_rc check file postfix_rc with path
/etc/init.d/postfix group
mail if failed checksum then
unmonitor if failed permission 755 then
unmonitor if failed uid root then
unmonitor if failed gid root then
unmonitor Am I doing something wrong? I’ve base it on Monit’s wiki website conf. Alexandre Vilarinho Gerente de Engenharia de Rede IP/TI Tel.: (55 11) 3017-4683 Cel.: (55 11) 7757-8388 Fax: (55 11) 3017-4464 address@hidden www.neovia.com.br ---------------------------- |
