I desperately need fresh idea - iptables CentOS

Hello guys,

I have to find a way to monitor if my CentOS iptables are active or not, and 
masqarade rule is active.

but I can find a sense way to do it? I looked for pid file does not find any.

Does someone monitor his iptables and how, juts can't come up with anything 
useful. 

Any advice is welcome.
