Why not use monit from init? I'm running it that way across several dozen servers, works very nicely.

Hi,

you should use absolute path to the configuration file, e.g.:

	/usr/local/bin/monit -c /root/.monitrc

Hi. I’m having trouble getting monit to start on server boot. I’ve added this to my /etc/rc.local;
--8<--
/usr/local/bin/monit -c ~/.monitrc

and it doesn’t seem to help. It worked on my CentOS 6 server but not on my CentOS 5 server.

Thanks
